The 2.5 S Preferred (starting price of $26,340) is positioned above the Select Sport and gains a host of luxuries. The driver benefits from an eight-way power-operated driver’s seat with memory and power lumbar support. Both front passengers enjoy heated seats. Black leatherette is standard, but the Preferred sedan can be specified with greige (a weird grey/beige color) leatherette as an option. Hatchbacks receive metallic gray 18-inch wheels, while the sedan gets a silver finish. Body-colored side mirrors and LED turn signals are also part of the package.
Carbon Edition Is A Perfect Mix Of Style, Luxury, And Value
Those looking for an added dash of style can turn to the Carbon Edition. This version is painted in a classy shade of Polymetal Gray, paired with sporty red leather. The spec is shared with the Preferred package, but the Carbon Edition gets standard all-wheel drive, black-painted 18-inch wheels, a wireless phone charger, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For not much more money, the well-equipped Premium is on offer, and it comes with myriad luxury car features.
Mazda Has Found A New Recipe For Success
Mazda hits big with plug-in hybrids on two models and now plans more – encouraging other automakers to consider adding their own PHEVs.
Keen drivers will be delighted to know the 2.5 S Premium is available with a six-speed manual transmission, adding some dynamism to the driving experience. Inside, you’ll find a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, a head-up display, adaptive LED headlights, and Mazda Online Navigation, which can be improved via OTA updates. Customers can choose between red or black leather upholstery. After the Premium, Mazda offers the turbocharged engine with more power and torque.
Turbo Models Offer Strong Performance
The 2.5 Carbon Turbo and Premium Plus models produce up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque, sent to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. The Carbon Turbo receives Zircon Sand Metallic paint with black 18-inch wheels. Inside, you’ll find terracotta leatherette, which is exclusive to this package. A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard.
The Turbo Premium Plus has gloss black exterior finishes, which make it stand out from the crowd. As you’d expect from the range-topper, this trim has black leather seats, although customers can specify red (hatchback) or white (sedan) upholstery for the seats. A 12-speaker Bose sound system and a host of safety features are included. Mazda doesn’t offer many optional extras for the 3 lineup, except for metallic paint: Polymetal Gray, Snowflake White Pearl Mica, Ceramic Metallic ($450), and Machine Gray Metallic and Soul Crystal Red ($595). All pricing mentioned above excludes the company’s $1,185 destination charge.
