Carlex Design has unveiled one of the most impressive aftermarket conversions we’ve ever seen, titled the G-Falcon and it takes vehicle personalization to a whole new level. It might be cliché to call a car a work of art, but this one-of-one model would look perfectly at home on display under spotlights surrounded by guards should you dare touch the masterpiece.

Based on a 2023 Mercedes-Benz AMG G63, it offers blistering performance thanks to its 577-horsepower twin-turbo V8, but this is one of the few times when those numbers are the least impressive thing about the vehicle. This Mercedes isn’t meant to be driven hard around a track or thrashed along an unpaved country road. Instead, it’s meant to be carefully parked and admired by anyone lucky enough to catch a glimpse.

Incredible Hand Engraving

The entire design was born out of a client’s desire to create something truly unique, something genuinely one-of-one. Carlex jumped at the opportunity to attempt the project and believed the G Wagon to be the perfect platform. The company has a fondness for Mercedes with a custom GLE Coupe among its creations. The core of the G-Falcon is a love of nature, and specifically the falcon that dominates the overall design.

Its best feature is the roof, which has a gorgeous hand-engraved image of a falcon in what appears to be the woods. More hand engraving can be seen on the side moldings and wheel arches, which all use decorative patterns and the contrast of polished metal with touches of gold that highlight the bespoke paintwork. Designed and carved by hand, these designs took 36 months to complete, working full days, and all had to be carved before being applied to the vehicle.

Impressive From Every Angle

The G-Falcon was enhanced with a carbon fiber body kit that includes front and rear bumpers, a front grille, wheel arches, door sills, and a hook cap. It and the rest of the bodywork that isn’t hand-engraved is coated in one kilogram of diamond dust similar to Carlex models in the past including the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Bentley Bentayga. This is hand-brushed in an amber color that sparkles in the light.

This extremely limited model is a work of art.

On the inside is another of the brand’s truly impressive interiors, full of patinated leather, meticulously hand-stitched, in a deep brown hue that is the perfect accompaniment to the exterior. This rich leather covers almost everything from the seats, to the dashboard, and all the crevasses and corners surrounding them. Anything not covered in leather is instead adorned in hand engravings just like the exterior. The combination turns this SUV into a rolling palace.

A four-year process, this vehicle was worth every minute, even though the unrevealed price is most likely astronomical. The company says the success of each new design opens the door to future one-off projects that will allow Carlex to further showcase its abilities.
