Ishant Sharma tries to scare Ravindra Jadeja as India stars engage in funny banter

India teammates Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja were involved in a fun moment with each other during the game between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals in Vishakhapatnam on Sunday (March 31).

The incident took place in the 15th over of DC innings when Ishant Sharma was bowling to Ravindra Jadeja. The third ball of the over was a no-ball as Ishant Sharma had overstepped while bowling to Shivam Dube. With Dube taking a single on the no-ball, Ravindra Jadeja was on strike for the free hit.

The veteran pacer bowled a brilliant yorker clocked at 145kph and Ravindra Jadeja had no answer for it. He could only squeeze it down the pitch to the bowler. Ishant Sharma picked up the ball before pretending to throw it towards Ravindra Jadeja.

However, Jadeja just turned back and did not say anything before Ishant Sharma walked towards him and said something with a smile on his face. Jadeja broke into laughter as well before the DC pacer turned back and started walking towards the bowling mark.

With Jadeja and MS Dhoni in the middle, CSK would be hoping that their star players guide them to a win and extend their winning start to IPL 2024.

Earlier in the game, half-centuries from David Warner and Rishabh Pant helped DC post 191 for 5 in 20 overs. Warner and Prithvi Shaw laid the foundation for the big total by adding 93 runs for the opening stand before departing for 52 and 43 respectively in quick succession.

In the second half of the innings, Pant led the charge with the bat, scoring 51 to help his side post the big total. DC are eyeing their first win of the season after losing the first two games.
