Mayank Dagar bamboozles Sunil Narine with a stunning yorker

The move to open with Sunil Narine worked for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the ongoing game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The match 10th of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is taking place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

In the chase of 182 runs, Sunil Narine made sure that he gave his team a brutal start at the top. The southpaw showed no mercy to the RCB bowlers as he attempted to hit almost every ball out of the park and put the opposition bowlers under pressure at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Sunil Narine came out all guns blazing and made sure that he repaid the faith of the team management. The southpaw looked in complete control of his innings and with the way he was batting, it needed something special to end his carnage at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Mayank Dagar put his hand up for the team and made sure that he drew the first blood for his team. The spinner produced a 101.8 kph thunderbolt, bowled at the yorker length, and surprised the Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers.

Sunil Narine failed to bring his bat down in time and the ball went on to crash the base of the off-stump. His wicket pumped up the bowler and it lifted the entire crowd at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Sunil Narine played his role to perfection and put Royal Challengers Bengaluru under pressure right from the start. The all-rounder fell three runs short of his half-century but his innings were worth in weight of gold. He ended with an inning of 47 runs off 22 balls.

The southpaw had a strike rate of around 215 and smashed two boundaries and five sixes in his innings. Sunil Narine along with Phil Salt made sure that KKR maximised the powerplay. The duo added 86 runs for the opening partnership.

After Sunil Narine, Phil Salt perishes for 30 runs

While Sunil Narine stole the limelight with his power-hitting at the start, Phil Salt at the other end made sure he supported his partner well. The keeper-batter hit some magnificent strokes in his innings and made sure that he continued his golden touch in the T20 cricket.

Phil Salt was all set for another half-century but his stay at the crease was cut short by Vijaykumar Vyshak. The fast bowler bowled an in-slanting back of a length ball. Phil Salt tried to pull it but picked a man in the deep. Cameron Green moved to his left from deep square leg and picked an easy catch.

Phil Salt ended with an innings of 30 runs off 20 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 150 and also hit 2 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. His wicket saw Kolkata Knight Riders getting reduced to 92/8 inside 8 overs. But skipper Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer has taken the complete control of the innings and the visiting team is now looking favourites to win the game.
