Novitec Purosangue Shows You Can Widebody Without Ruining A Car
German tuner Novitec has been turning Ferraris (and other exotics) from mild to wild for decades. That includes the V8, V6, and even V12 cars, with both more power and more outrageous styling. But one model has been missing out on the company’s widebody fun.

It’s missing out no more. The Ferrari Purosangue SUV has just gotten the Novitec widebody treatment, with the company’s Esteso body kit adding two and a half inches to the four-door V12 Ferrari. Transforming it into something that might be a little less Maranello puro, but promises to get your sangue pumping a lot harder.
Widebody Kit Adds 2.5-Inches Of Attitude
We’re familiar with Novitec’s N-Largo body kits for other super sports cars. The company has applied that treatment to plenty of F-cars, including the 296 GTS, 812, and others.
New fender flares, both front and rear, give the Purosangue its extra width, but these flares do more than just make it wider. Novitec says that the new flares add aerodynamic efficiency, improving stability at high speeds.
New spoilers across the nose increase downforce in the nose at high speeds, too. The new bare carbon fascia trim, though, is all about looks. The new rockers are similarly cosmetic, linking the wider flares front and rear for a better stance. Move around to the rear, and there are functional parts again. The bare carbon diffuser, rear spoiler, and wing all help the SUV punch through the air.

Novitec Makes The Purosangue Sound Like A Proper Ferrari
If you must modify a Ferrari, Novitec is the place to take it for tasteful enhancement. And a lot more soul.
All of the Novitec body parts are plug-and-play, the company said. They’re also available in bare carbon or in what Novitec calls PUR-Rim plastic. The latter can be painted to match the body or in any contrasting color.
Wider fenders are pointless without new wheels, and Novitec has sourced those critical components from Vossen. The wheels have widths and offsets to fill up the widened wells and come as 22 inches in the front and 23 inches in the rear. They’re offered in 72 colors with multiple finish options. There are three wheel designs, letting you customize your Ferrari even more.
More Power And A Killer Sound To Go With The Bodywork
With wider tires and beefed-up looks, the V12’s factory 715 horsepower is just not enough. So Novitec fitted its high-performance exhaust for an extra 30 hp. The exhaust is offered in stainless steel or the extra-light alloy Inconel. If you pick the latter, you can get it with a fine gold plating. Yes, real 999 gold exhaust tips. Which are pretty baller, even if they seem like a prime target for thieves.
Novitec offers conventional exhaust systems and flap systems for extra noise. They both sound astonishing, with the company offering up a video so you can hear the cars wail.

There are a few tuning houses that could learn a thing or two from Novitec.
Pick the body-color kit and the look is a pleasant upgrade. It accentuates the Ferrari’s styling without turning it into the gaudy monster that most high-end exotic tuner kits become. Even the bare carbon, with black paint at least, looks subtle instead of screaming. But they’re both still clearly not the stock vehicle.
With this new model already a big seller for Ferrari, the Purosangue is most in need of standing out. This feels like a great way to do it.
